From time to time, a storm rages in the hearts of men, another time, however, it shakes the Earth itself. The memorable Klostermann-like storm coming from the border changed Šumava beyond recognition. There have been many following afterwards, the man-made ones that have also been changing the landscape beyond recognition since the times gone by. Finally, the storms of the hearts of men are those the nature itself has a hard time to deal with.
kráčí tam lesem kmet a hoch.
to PANYCHIDU zhynulému lesu
zaplakal Rankl Sepp, i zaplakal Klostermann.
The band hailing from the Czech Republic evolved into distinctive mixture of black and traditional heavy metal after more
than fifteen years of existence.
And it is the new album which takes the listener to the most fascinating journey on the south border of Bohemia, into the old times of Šumava mountains....more

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
